Customer Service Representative Wages: DOQ Close Date: 10/25/2017 Job Description The Customer Service Representative will work hand in hand with the Yakama Nation Networks Sales and Customer Service Manager to secure profitable new business and to develop, maintain and grow effective key relationships as well as providing our customers with the best possible customer service and technical support. This position will incorporate the areas of technical support, billing and sales for a full customer experience. We will always resolve issues professionally and effectively with unmatched expertise. Duties and Responsibilities • Respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person, providing the information required on a timely basis. • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, always exceeding their service expectations and building customer “best practices” for the Yakama Nation Networks brand. • Must quickly diagnose, prioritize, and troubleshoot internal/external issues with proven multi-tasking abilities, including distinguishing between customer network and Yakama Nation Networks connection issues, ensuring users have access to network systems, applications and services. • Perform basic internal sales and dispatch functions, including answering customer questions about available service, upselling and scheduling installs to increase residential and small business sales numbers. • Assist customers with basic billing assistance, including taking payments, account explanations/adjustments. • Perform administrative tasks that support client contact and excellent follow-up. • Must have the basic knowledge of networking solutions for small/home offices. • Adaptability for change in the workplace/new technologies are a requirement for this position. • Perform other related duties as required and directed. Skills/Qualifications • Must be able to quickly acquire knowledge of Yakama Nation Networks technical support customer service standards; knowledge of Ubiquiti and Mikrotik equipment is preferred but not required. • Must demonstrate the desire to learn, supported with a passion for technology. • Must have ability to communicate effectively and professionally via the telephone/in person. • Must have proven ability to work within a fast-paced, high-change, diverse, cooperative-working environment. • Must demonstrate personal responsibility to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple interruptions, and meet deadlines while working within a flexible schedule to manage time effectively. • Must be able to work weekends/holidays. Experience/Education • High school diploma /equivalent required, prefer 2+ yrs. of customer service/ISP support. Prefer 2+ yrs. of PC repair, Sales or Billing • Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record in order to obtain a tribal driving permit. • No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history. • Required to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test in accordance with the Yakama Nation Drug & Alcohol Policy. All interested applicants can report to Yakama Nation General Council Office, room 120 located at the Yakama Indian Nation Agency Complex, 401 Fort Rd Toppenish WA 98948, Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 for additional Information call (509) 865-5121 Ext. 6052, 6053 or 4304 Closing Date: November 03, 2017 Members of the Gaming Commission are responsible for licensing and regulations of the Gaming Entity and Gaming Activities, but shall not have management responsibility for the Gaming Entity or Gaming Activities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Ability to understand and implement regulations pertinent to Yakama Nation Gaming Ordinance, Tribal/State Compact and federal law.  Experience and/or knowledge in accounting, auditing, tribal and federal law, or law enforcement or investigation preferred, but not required. General Recruiting Indicators: The following minimum requirements must be met to qualify for membership on the commission:  Enrolled member of the Yakama Nation  Twenty-five (25) years of age  Reside on or near the Yakama Nation Reservation, or near the Gaming Entity or Gaming Activity  Successful completion of a background investigation for suitability in gaming industry, including but not limited to, criminal record, driving record, employment history, credit history, and other personal background information.  Required to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test. Compensation:  Commissioners shall be compensated at rates to be set by the Tribal Council and General Council Executive Board. Commissioners shall be eligible for fringe benefits which are available to other employees of the Yakama Nation of the extent the provider of such benefits qualifies the Gaming Commission positions for such benefits. Subject of approval by the Tribal Council and General Council Executive Board and in accordance with procedures adopted by those bodies, Commissioners shall be reimbursed for expenses incurred in connection with the performance of their Gaming Commission duties. Disqualifications for Office: The following persons shall not serve as Commissioners:  Employees of any Gaming Entity on the Reservation  Persons related to any Gaming Contractor (including any principle thereof or closely associated independent contractor) or  Persons who do not qualify to serve in such a position as result of finds of a background investigation, including a criminal history review, conducted under the direction of the Tribal Police Department and the Chief of Police.
